Festive Thoughts

This entry was posted on 2014-12-22 by Caroline.

After a frustrating few weeks waiting for the ground to dry up for Judge Davis, we finaly decided to take a chance on soft ground at Exeter - The gamble paid off and he ran a very promosing race, missing out on second place after being hampered by a loose horse at the last. He jumped with much more confidence under James Best and has come out of the race very well. Hopefully we can string a few races together now and build on that result.

Canarbino Girl was ridden in the amateur race for the first time by Phil Thomas. She ran well but 2m5f was a bit short for her and she was outpaced - she will be stepped up in trip now she has strengthened up.

I am writing this on the shortest day of the year and Christmas is nearly upon us. There will be some very exciting racing to look forward to on Boxing Day. Our only runner is likely to be An Tarbh Og, either at Towcester on Boxing Day or Chepstow on 27th. Our busy time is approaching , New Year, where we hope to have runners at Taunton and Warwick. A winner would be nice to bring to a close a great year for Keevil Racing.

On a lighter note Deep Pockets (aka Cheeky) had a day off from escorting our 3 year olds to go indoor show jumping - Ridden by Meg Giles, who helps us at weekends he was placed in both classes and thoroughly enjoyed his party as you can see from the photo!

To all our owners, friends and followers I would like to wish you all a very festive Christmas and a Happy and Succesful 2015.
