Our Legend At The Festival...

This entry was posted on 2015-03-13 by Caroline.

Words really can't describe the thrill it is to have a horse capable of running at the Cheltenham Festival, and what a wonderfull day our champ gave us. Bally Legend ran his heart out to finish a really close 6th just loosing out on 4th by a head and a neck in the final strides. A gallant effort and only 4 lengths off the winner. It was some achievement, i knew we had the old legend back to form when he ran so well at Kempton but those handicaps at the Festival are so mega competitive, so it was a huge thrill to be troubling the judge. It was a magical day and only surpassed by the massive roar of the crowd as AP Mcoy won the JLT. I was priveledged to be there at his final Cheltenham.

Tomorrow our new recruit Enmore Hill makes his debut at Kempton in the bumper. He has been carefully produced by Marie McGuinness to run in a point to point but it was felt he should take his chance under rules instead. I am really looking forward to seeing how he fares.

On Monday our other star boy Strawberry Hill will contest a 3m2f chase at Taunton. It will be a big step up in trip for him but even though he has won at 2m6f he seemed to be off the bridle from a long way out and this trip should allow him to travel more easily through the race.

On Tuesday Judge Davis is entered and La Madonnina makes her debut over fences so no more rain please!
