Cheltenham Looming

This entry was posted on 2015-10-22 by Caroline.

Excitemant builds as the first Cheltenham meeting is tomorrow... We were looking forward to our champ Bally Legend performing but that was sadly not to be. However we have Regal Flow to fly our flag in the Amateur Chase tomorrow under Michael Legg, with a nice drop of rain yesterday conditions should be perfect for him.

Hopefully enough rain will fall to allow me to run An Tarbh Og and Knight Ofthe Realm on Sunday at Wincanton.

Haverstock and Canarbino Girl ran good races at Plumpton on Monday. The ground rode a little quicker than good allowing the speedier types to go on and unfortunatley despite the hill they didn't come back to the rest of the field. Both ours finished 5th. On the same day poor Prince Mahler and James Best were completely wiped out at the 3rd hurdle by a loose horse when going very nicely in only his second hurdle race. He sustained a small wound to the back leg which needed stitching but luckily he will not be off games for too long!

There are several others waiting for the gorund to soften before they can run - Starwberry Hill, Jajamcool and Midnight Lira are all rearing to go.
