Sometimes just a clear round is enough to give everyone hope, and the incentive to carry on.  China's Gamble has been blowing any chance of success Point to Pointing this season by becoming so stressed travelling to the races that she had run her race before she had started. At Worcester, with the advantage of a stable to relax in, she was much more manageable and she was able to finnish her race for the first time this season. ! She jumped well and settled nicely under James Best and will hopefully progress from here................ She will probably run again at Newton Abbott on Friday if we have the thundery showers that are forecast to ease the ground .

We had a new arrival last week  . A smart 3yr old by Geordieland out of a well bred mare related to Viking Flagship and Viking Uberales. He was a very attractive foal and has grown into a fine athletic horse. He is from Geordieland's first crop and it will be interesting to see how he shapes up. He certainly looks the part but is a big chap and wont be rushed. He will be backed, ridden and turned away . He will an exciting prospect for his owner breeder.

La Madonnina has recovered well after her last run and Mrs Winchester is working towards her debut over fences, probably at Southwell in a couple weeks.

Goffs Land Rover sales is in full swing, and I have my scouts on the look for interesting prospects, so if anyone is interested in a young  horse please contact me to discuss options. I will be attending the Derby sale at Tattersalls myself at the end of the month.
