Highs, Lows, and a bit of Pointing!

This entry was posted on 2014-12-02 by Caroline.

I am sure the question on everyones lips is "Where has Bally Legend's form gone?" Well hopefully only a temporary blip - our fears about his breathing this season were finally confirmed at Newbury on Friday. James Best clearly heard him choke as the sticky ground put extra pressure on him. This kind of breathing issue is often one that appears as they get older, and it is a fairly straight forward operation. He will be back all cylinders firing in the New Year!

Canarbino Girl (pictured right) and Regal Flow both ran gallant races at Taunton on ground that wouldn't have been their favourite. I was particularly pleased with Canarbino Girl as she had a lot of problems last season, it was nice to see her run to form at last.

Runners this week will include Pod and Judge Davis at Wincanton. With An Tarbh Og and What Larks both hoping to head to Chepstow on Saturday.

Pat had an excellent start to his point to point campaign with General Girling (pictured left) comming 2nd at Black Forest Lodge, ably ridden by Phil Thomas on his first ride for Pat. It looks like General Girling will give his syndicate, The Yeovilton Flyers, a lot of fun this season.
